TRACADIE-SHEILA – The 2016 Annual Campaign organized by the Fondation Les Amis de l’Hôpital de Tracadie was officially launched this morning in the cafeteria of the Tracadie-Sheila Hospital. This campaign will end in April 2016 with the Roses Radiothon.
This year, the financial objective for the campaign has been set at $80,000. The purpose of the campaign is to improve seven different areas at the Tracadie-Sheila Hospital (Emergency Department, Satellite Dialysis Unit, nursing units, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy, and Electrodiagnostics). An amount of $10,000 will go toward regional projects.
“The Foundation perfectly fulfils its mission to improve the health care offered by the Tracadie-Sheila Hospital and it manages to include and involve organizations and the community,” said Éric Haché, Tracadie-Sheila Hospital Director.
The ceremony held this morning was also an opportunity for the Foundation to announce the first commitments by the following partners: Caisse populaire de Neguac, the promotion L’Étoile du Nord, the staff of the Tracadie-Sheila Hospital, MQM Quality Manufacturing, Menuiserie Basque et Fils, Caisse Populaire Le Lien des Deux Rivières, Neguac and Tracadie-Sheila Home Hardware, Marc Entreprise Ltée, Regional Municipality of Tracadie, Loto Coop Santé Communautaire of the Coopérative Régionale de la Baie, Le Club Richelieu Tracadie Inc. and the Saint-Isidore Village.
“We are very proud to confirmed the commitments announced this morning and wish that they will inspire others to support our campaign to give people access to the best possible health care today and in years to come. This is a wonderful inheritance for our families,” said André Morais, Chair of the 2016 Annual Campaign.
Fernand Breau, patient of the Satellite Dialysis Unit at the Tracadie-Sheila Hospital since 2012, took advantage of the event to express his gratitude to donors. “Thank you for choosing to provide relief to me and to all others who require health care, as there are many causes to which to contribute but today you have chosen to contribute to our health!”
