{"id":1210,"date":"2019-10-29T15:13:52","date_gmt":"2019-10-29T15:13:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fondationhopitaltracadie.ca\/?p=1210"},"modified":"2019-10-29T15:13:52","modified_gmt":"2019-10-29T15:13:52","slug":"the-northern-star-is-back-for-a-15th-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fondationhopitaltracadie.ca\/en\/the-northern-star-is-back-for-a-15th-year\/","title":{"rendered":"The Northern Star is back for a 15th year!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Representatives of the foundations of eight New Brunswick hospitals launched the 15th annual Northern Star Campaign this morning, in partnership with UNI Financial Cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>All the profits from the Northern Star Campaign will go to the various participating foundations so that they can meet the health care needs in their respective regions. Mini-trees are now available for purchase at a cost of $2, $5, $10 or $20 from your local UNI point of service and some businesses in the participating regions.<\/p>\n<p>The eight participating foundations are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation (Bathurst);<\/li>\n<li>Fondation H\u00f4pital de l\u2019Enfant-J\u00e9sus Inc. (Caraquet);<\/li>\n<li>Foundation of the Friends of the Grand Falls General Hospital Inc. (Grand Falls);<\/li>\n<li>La Fondation de l&#8217;H\u00f4pital de Lam\u00e8que (Lam\u00e8que);<\/li>\n<li>Friends of Healthcare Foundation (Campbellton);<\/li>\n<li>Fondation Dr Romaric Boulay (Saint-Quentin);<\/li>\n<li>The Friends of the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Foundation (Sainte-Anne-de-Kent);<\/li>\n<li>Fondation Les Amis de l&#8217;H\u00f4pital de Tracadie (Tracadie).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mr. Gilles Lanteigne, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vitalit\u00e9 Health Network, reiterated the importance of a campaign such as the Northern Star: \u201cSince the beginning, you have been supporting Vitalit\u00e9 Health Network&#8217;s projects, but at the same time, what you are really supporting is our communities. These communities have needs, and you are making every effort to meet these needs through concrete projects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The lighting of dedicated Christmas trees, holiday-themed figures and community Christmas trees near the hospitals will take place in the evening of Wednesday, December 4. People are invited to attend and show their support.<\/p>\n<p>The foundations also took advantage of the campaign launch to unveil the new image of the Northern Star.
