Thanks to the generosity and commitment of participants, donors, and businesses, the \u201cWalk 1 km in my Shoes\u201d initiative raised a total of $63 647 for the Roses Radiothon.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Organized by the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation in Bathurst, the Fondation H\u00f4pital de l\u2019Enfant-J\u00e9sus Inc, and the Fondation Les Amis de l&#8217;H\u00f4pital de Tracadie, this symbolic activity invites people to walk one kilometer in the shoes of someone who is fighting or has fought cancer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Under the honorary presidency of Mr. Ronald Losier, a well-known entrepreneur personally affected by the illness, the 2025 edition was a great success:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation (Bathurst): $22,950<\/li>\r\n<li>Fondation H\u00f4pital de l\u2019Enfant-J\u00e9sus Inc. (Caraquet): $14,452<\/li>\r\n<li>Fondation Les Amis de l&#8217;H\u00f4pital de Tracadie : $26,245<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cWalking in the shoes of someone living with cancer is a reminder that for them, every step is a victory. It\u2019s a privilege to see our community come together to show them support and remind them that they are not alone,\u201d said Mr. Ronald Losier, Honorary Chair of the campaign.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The funds raised will support the purchase of advanced technology medical equipment to improve the detection, treatment, and comfort of cancer patients across the Acadie-Bathurst region. These investments will directly enhance the quality and accessibility of care within our communities.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The foundations extend their heartfelt thanks to all participants, donors, volunteers, and partners who contributed to the success of this meaningful edition. Thanks to your support, we continue to strengthen healthcare services in our region.
