Bathurst, Friday, April 3, 2020: Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, and to protect our valued volunteers, employees, their families and all members of our communities, it is our turn to regretfully announce the cancellation of the Roses Radiothon which was scheduled for April 24th, 2020. “Each year, we can count on the support of our communities regarding our local hospitals.
Today, it is our heroes in our hospitals that go to work each day, for us, that are counting on us. Therefore, we are launching a call to our population. We can all support them by staying at home to help stop the spread of this virus. It is very important to be united! » state the presidents of the Roses Radiothon, Mona Losier, Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation, Joseph Lanteigne, Foundation of l’Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus, Eric Robichaud, Foundation of Les Amis de l’Hôpital de Tracadie as well as Marie-Jeanne Noël, Foundation of l’Hôpital de Lamèque.
We would like to thank all the volunteers and donors that have already contributed to the Roses Radiothon in which the global objective for the 4 foundations for 2020 is $178,000. For those that would like to support this campaign, the foundations continue to accept donations for the Roses Radiothon. These can be done either by an online donation from the Internet site: radiothonroses.com or by telephone with a credit card.
Since its beginning, the Roses Radiothon has made it possible for our foundations to invest more than 2.3 million dollars towards the purchase of equipment.
Health care here at home has never been more important.
