The Fondation Les Amis de l’Hôpital de Tracadie presented a positive report to its members at its annual general meeting held last week. Its 2020-2021 objectives with respect to the needs of Tracadie-Sheila Hospital have been achieved.
Thanks to the outstanding support of the community, the Foundation invested $895,788 into enhancing the services and care provided in the following sectors:
“The 2020–2021 fiscal year has been eventful. There have been several challenges because of the pandemic, but we are so proud of the volunteers who were able to adapt to this new reality and we are grateful to our partners who continued to support us,” said Philippe Ferguson, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Foundation.
This success has been made possible thanks to the support of a longstanding partner, the Coopérative Régionale de la Baie through the Loto Coop Santé Communautaire, as well as fundraising activities such as the major fundraising campaign, the Roses Radiothon and the Northern Star.
The elected members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors for the coming year are Philippe Ferguson, Monique Savoie, Isabelle Paulin, Donat Landry, Vivianne Thomas, Norbert Rousselle, Marjolaine Benoit, Jacinthe Leclerc and Audrey Murphy-Thibodeau.
The mission of the Foundation is to raise funds to improve health care services provided at the Tracadie-Sheila Hospital, support recruitment efforts, and encourage the involvement and commitment of organizations and the community.
