Tracadie – The Fondation Les Amis de l’Hôpital de Tracadie Inc. is pleased to announce the establishment of the Mona Ferguson Robichaud and J. Basile Robichaud Fund in the amount of $100,000. This fund will help support the development of nurses at Tracadie Hospital and contribute to the sustainability of the Foundation.
Mr. Robichaud especially wants to highlight the dedication of his wife throughout her career as a nurse at Tracadie Hospital. “Mona always kept a large place in her heart for her patients and her co-workers. In fact, I never heard her say a bad word or speak critically or ill about anything when she came home from work. She only had positive things to say about her co-workers and patients. For her, being a nurse wasn’t just a job, it was a vocation. I also realize the importance of health care in our region and I hope that my gesture will inspire others to do the same. It is very gratifying to know that the action taken today will continue to provide for future generations,” explained Mr. Robichaud.
The Fondation Les Amis de l’Hôpital de Tracadie wishes to thank Mr. Robichaud for his idea to make this large donation to honour the memory of his wife and also confirm his support of Tracadie Hospital.
“Thanks to Mr. Robichaud’s significant planned giving, the Foundation will be able to invest the money and the annual interest will go to meeting the needs identified in our agreement,” explained Clifford Robichaud, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Fondation Les Amis de l’Hôpital de Tracadie.
The Fondation Les Amis de l’Hôpital de Tracadie is a key partner in maintaining and developing health care and services in the region. In complement to Vitalité Health Network, the mission is to raise money with the unwavering support of our community with a view to improving health care at Tracadie Hospital.
