Bathurst, April 24, 2026 The 20th edition of the Roses Radiothon was a remarkable success, bringing an entire community together for an essential cause: supporting healthcare and the fight against cancer in our region.
Thanks to the generosity of the public, our partners, and our volunteers, a total of $320,194 was raised for the four hospital foundations:
- Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation : $110,022
- Enfant-Jésus Hospital Foundation of Caraquet : $74,532
- Lamèque Hospital and Community Health Centre Foundation : $63,320
- Friends of the Tracadie Hospital Foundation : $72,320
A major milestone for this edition: the Radiothon des Roses has surpassed $4 million raised since its inception. A proud achievement that reflects 20 years of solidarity with local patients.
Real impact, right here at home
The funds raised will be used to purchase essential medical equipment and tangibly improve the care provided. They contribute to faster diagnoses, more precise treatments, and more compassionate care, close to home, while strengthening the fight against cancer in the region.
Exceptional mobilization
Throughout the day, the airwaves of CKLE, CKRO and 104.9 The Wave, along with the collaboration of l’Acadie Nouvelle, helped raise awareness for the cause and reach thousands of people.

About the Radiothon des Roses
The Radiothon des Roses is an annual initiative of the hospital foundations of Bathurst (Chaleur), Caraquet, Lamèque, and Tracadie.
For 20 years, it has mobilized the community to support the purchase of essential medical equipment, improve patient care, and contribute concretely to the fight against cancer. To date, more than $4 million has been used to support patients in the region where it matters most.
